The AIAA SciTech Forum is the world's largest event for aerospace science and technology.
The Aircraft Design Technical Committee welcomes papers that push boundaries in aircraft design
science and technology. The forum provides a collegial environment for sharing early-stage
research, novel methodologies, and emerging design concepts.
ADTC SciTech sessions emphasize research contributions and theoretical advances. Student paper
competition entries are also solicited — see the Student Design Competitions page for details.
Session topics include but are not limited to:
• Physics-based design methods
• Machine learning and AI in aircraft design
• Uncertainty quantification in design
• Topology optimization for aerospace structures
• Hydrogen and hybrid-electric aircraft concepts
• Configuration aerodynamics
• Design for manufacturability and sustainment
• High-altitude long-endurance (HALE) vehicles

The AIAA AVIATION Forum is the premier international event for aerospace professionals
focused on aeronautics. The Aircraft Design Technical Committee invites submissions covering
all aspects of aircraft design, including conceptual design, multidisciplinary design
optimization, structural design, aerodynamics, propulsion integration, and novel
aircraft configurations.
Authors are encouraged to submit work that advances the state of the art in aircraft design
methodology, tools, and applications. Both analytical and experimental contributions are
welcome. Papers addressing urban air mobility (UAM), sustainable aviation, and next-generation
aircraft concepts are particularly encouraged.
Session topics include but are not limited to:
• Conceptual and preliminary aircraft design
• Multidisciplinary Design Analysis and Optimization (MDAO)
• Structural design and analysis
• Advanced aerodynamic configurations
• Propulsion-airframe integration
• Certification and airworthiness considerations
• Design tools, methods, and automation
• Sustainable and electric aircraft design
